Funny that Wednesday I said I was feeling good. I was. I really, really was. About a lot of things. I was confident about my exercise routine, my progress, and that the company was going to handle my harassment complaint in a way that would protect me and get help for the person who needed [...]

Curtains

26May06

This is it, kids. As much as it pains me to do so, I’ve got to stop blogging here. There’s an incredibly long and complicated story behind the reasons why, but I just can’t hang out here any longer. This blog has exacerbated some issues in my personal life and now my safety and sanity [...]

Legs 1, Pain 0

24May06

During one of my philosophy or psychology classes — I can't remember which — I learned that, often, pleasure is merely the absence of pain. And I've long tried to remember that. It helps keep things in perspective.
So I just want to note here how much better my legs feel this week than last week, [...]

So the word is that there’ll be a Memphis blogger meet-up Friday, June 9. at the P&H on Madison. I can’t go because I work Friday nights, but I’m just doing my bloggerly duty and passing along the info, man, because that’s what the interwebs are for and stuff.

Then I started thinking I would just make this my permanent home in order to escape the prying eyes of a co-worker a little too [...]

I made it to my third personal training session today. We worked on my chest and triceps.
Sometimes I think my muscles must have completely withered up and disappeared while I wasn't using them. And, I guess, that's very nearly what they did.
I made it through the chest presses and whatnot fairly easily (considering I'm just [...]

Nick came down yesterday to hang out and deliver me an illegally made DVD of the first season of Extras. We went to the Soul Fish Cafe to have lunch (I had my usual chicken po boy and he had the blackened catfish) and then saw Thank You For Smoking, which is still playing at [...]

How this relic still stands is anyone’s guess.
Let’s see if I can get back into the swing of things now that I’ve had the luxury of going for a whole week without blogging. It was actually really nice, so I’ll probably be toning things down around here for the foreseeable future and posting less often. [...]
